Feb 20, 2008

Misty and I just arrived in the Vancouver airport, and are waiting for our flight to Hong Kong. The flight on the way here was great but very long. Time to go! I will post more later.
UPDATE: So we just landed in Hong Kong. That was the longest flight of our lives...Misty and I thought we were going to die of old age on that! 14 hours later. We are happy to be here, but cannot wait until our final flight is over and we can go to bed. There is a 11 hour time difference, so it will be night time when we finally arrive there. In total we would have completed 30 hours of airtime. The flights have all been great, no major turbulence, good landings, and for the most part we have been arriving earlier. We have had some amazing views...the Rocky Mountains, Alaska, the Philippine Sea. Some of the sights have been breathtaking. Also, we were flying into the sun for most of this flight, so we had to keep our shades closed as the sun was blinding! We experienced a bit of a cultural shock boarding our plane to come here to Hong Kong. As Misty said "Four of these things are not like the other ones.." We happened to be sitting across from two guys who were on their way to Thailand for a 10 day vacation.
I hope everyone is doing well. Our plane is going to be boarding soon and then we are finally going to be arriving at our final destination, Bangkok, Thailand!!! We are both starting to get very excited. I do not know when we will have internet access again, but I will post as soon as I can. Thank you for all of the emails and the encouragement!!
