A Feast for the Bugs

Hello All,

I do not have much news to report. I also figured that many of you are still trying to make your way through my last couple of entries. Sorry about the overload.

I had 21 nice surprises this morning when I opened my email to read emails from my class at Coldbrook & District Elementary. Just as I finished reading them, the mail came to the office and I got a very Nova Scotian card from my younger sister. I spent most of the day teaching and writing emails back to all of the students.

We had dinner with the boys tonight, and they spent most of the time at the table laughing, likely at our expense.

Something had a feast on my legs. I thought it was mosquitoes but some people told me they do not look like mosquito bites. It is not very attractive at all, so I will be wearing pants for the next few days. I got some cream from the doctor in hopes that it will heal quickly and will not scar. It is very itchy, but when you itch it, they all break open and start to bleed which means it will take even longer to heal.

Misty threw out my bug collection today (the garbage). It seems we cannot even leave something for a day now without being invaded with bugs. It is pretty disgusting. Most days I am able to get to my cereal before they do, but some days I am not as lucky.

We had lunch with the adults in the AIDS hospice again today. They were very happy to have us join them as we have been away for the past few days. We lost another patient to AIDS today, may he rest in Peace.

Other than all of the emails today I do not have anything else to say. I am completely drained of energy today as we switched our day today with SiJie, so instead of only having one class, I had a day of classes.

Hope all is well at home. Sending love from Thailand!

You're welcome for the card! :-) I saw it and thought it was the perfect thing to send. That's pretty gross about the bugs... do not bring those home!

I was thinking about packing a few in my suitcase, just for you

Well it's a shame that I will not be home when you come back! So unless you want to bring them over to Holland, I guess I won't be seeing them! :-)
